thanks! yes, I did write one. Hadn't a clue--I was taking a writer's workshop class--and the teacher, Clive Hopwood, something of a playwright himself kept encouraging me--so I wound up writing on (wait for it) for the BBC! they were offering a prize--didn't get the prize but they said they liked it. I found I loved writing dialogue in particular. then I did another contest--to get a place at Lancaster U.--it was something that North West playwrights sponsered. I got one! and it was fun for awhile--but I prefer novel writing--it's easier to do--you're in your own home, you don;t have to kiss up to theater folk, you know?
if you like radio--go to the BBC radio website. Radio Four in particular! and choose anything you want. Play of the week, the day and so on.
I think you'd like it.
sorry this is so long. it's lovely meeting you too!
Good luck with your work!
keep me posted, please!
all the best!
Hi Michael, I'm not yet published either. But working on it!
Your novel sounds good. I just read the Grifters by Jim Thompson--I thought it was better than the movie.
best of luck with your work.

Thanks for adding me! Aren't they fun at this age? Is your son in high school this year? It's a whole new world!
Michael, thanks for the compliment. That feature you requested is one I requested from Ning quite a while ago. Good news is that it's supposed to be added within the week. :)
I have a cunning plan - As cunning as a fox that's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University? ... He twisted and turned like, like - a twisty-turny thing!
Aaaahhh... Blackadder. What a top man you are for liking it.
Thanks for the invite, Michael. Came just when I needed it, too. For a while there, I had come dangerously close to making good use of my time. Whew. Glad that's done.
Pick a discussion and wade in. Stir it up a little if you want. MWA rumble against the thriller writers? Naw. We'd show up with gnucks and shivs and their snipers take us out from 200 feet away.
