Duane - thanks for stampin' my pass to this page! Now my pester campaign can start on behalf of The Pusher . . .c'mon, I owe the, bruddah! We gonna see some of your fine, fine prose on The Pusher's pages soon?
Hey Duane, bonjour (the limit of my French). I guess I inhaled THE WHEELMAN is about three breaths. Great book. I'm thinking of looking up that earlier work of yours and sampling one of everything you mixed up there (151, was it?), but then maybe, I'll just stay topical and grab a case of Dead Guy Ale.
I love all of the books you mentioned, Judith. If you forced me to pick my absolute Fred Brown (and nice backwards reference, by the way!) favorites, I'd have to say NIGHTMARES & GEEZENSTACKS, his unbelievable collection of short-shorts, and HIS NAME WAS DEATH.
I think you should run a French class here at Crimespace. There are at least 10 untranslated Jean-Patrick Manchette novels I want to read before I die, as well as this David Goodis biography I have on my shelf...
Jon, I want a new car. Something that goes really fast and gets shitty gas mileage. And I want a recount. And no matter how it turns out, I want my old job back!

Em: So glad you liked the first 50. Don't worry--I'll make sure you get an ARC in a month or so!
Good meeting you in LA, but boy, are you an expensive date? :-)
Simon
And Manchette was a myth? Say it isn't so!

All right, everyone stay calm. He really likes beer.
