There's an old joke here in the States, maybe you know it: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help; the check's in the mail; and..."

Oh, Colin -- you have to come back to L.A. -- people are positively whining about it! Pogo is jumping off the shelves, but it would jump higher if you were here to sign it and charm everyone... Linda at The Mystery Bookstore

Hi Colin
Your work and travels are admirable. Too bad about the title. I like explicit. But sadly, the marketers are usually right.

Colin;
Greetings: Just to let you know that my New Orleans noir mystery, The
Beatitudes, has received 5 starred reviews! I am donating all royalties to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation to help rebuild the public libraries. I have posted Chapter I on my blog www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com. Please read and if you like it, help rebuild a library for NOLA. Thank you Lyn LeJeune

Sadly no - much as I would like to, I won't be in the vicinity of Thailand any time soon. Hope to see you at either Crimefest or Harrogate next year maybe. If you're over doing a booktour in the UK let me know (especially if your tour takes in Scotland!)

Hiya - the button thing worked - you did good :o) That was a good evening, wasn't it? David and McKenna are lovely hosts. Hope to see you again at a bookstore or convention. Don't suppose you'll be at Bouchercon in Alaska will you?

Hi Colin--did you ever get to Italy?

Okay, whose the guy with you in the picture? What's the state of libraries in Thailand? My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.

I agree with Mary.

Speaking at you whilst you had no voice (in Madison) was entertaining. For me.

Long may you sit.

Hi, there - If you don't mind, could you please write three or four Dr Siri books a year from now on? :) I love him. And Geung and Dtui. Nice to see you here.

Well - no pressure but writing faster would be nice - and it's nice to know we're beating the UK - must have been the US or somewhere - but I remember everyone talking about your first book and getting very desperate to get hold of it :) :)

Hey Colin - nice to see you here. Thank GOODNESS for Text Publishing here - I no longer have to order your books by slow canoe from the UK :)

Hi,
I check the Members tab just about every day and see who has been added. If I recognize the name, I'll usually ask to be added on as a friend. I'm sure I've seen your name for the SOHO books.

As for the Amazon numbers, I'm only behind a half million others now so I'm doing quite well. Just wait until there's an actual book out...
