Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
Dr. Who, the old or the re-make?
I didn't mind the old (English guy version).
Vampires are interesting and so are the stories, and how different people tell them. Even Nora Roberts has a vampire type story. The title eludes me right now.
Good luck to you.
Thanks for the invite. I know what you mean about editing. I get to the point where I physically cannot look at the manuscript anymore. Good luck with it though.
Thanks for the invite JK, love paranormal and SF, fantasy and horror are iffy, so always looking for a good variation. May we both have good luck with the publishing industry in 2008.
Hi! Thanks for adding me to your line-up of friends, J.K. I look forward to finding out more about you and your work (which sounds right up my alley). I hope you’ll check out my new thriller, IM, about a serial killer preying on gay men using Internet hookup sites.
It is taking a bit to know the ins and outs of this site, andI think that I may be double-posting in the friends' department. My expertise will improve with time. Now I am enjoying looking at all the authors with their published books. I am not into vampires, but I am an animal lover--dogs over cats, but I have a friend a year older than I who adores cats and is a mystery fan. Thanks for your friendship.
Thanks! Vampires, that sounds like a lot of fun. So does the conference. I need to find a conference for myself one day. Back to work, my mace is whacking away....Tina
How do there J.K...Thanks for the invite..I have a black cat(actually 2 now). the oldest is Bearkat & she is almost 13, she is almost all black, but for a white spot on her chest & one on her belly. the other(new kitten) is black with 3 of her paws just tipped in white & her left back paw white up to her elbow, she has a white triangle on her chest & white under her front armpits that blend down into a v when she sits on her back legs with her front legs together & she has white whiskers. looking forward to reading some your stuff, good luck with the rounds!! Take care..peace
J.K.holmes,
Many thanks for the invitation. I will check out your website when I get the chance. Hope the MA is going well. Any idea of your main topic for your final Thesis?

You have an interesting page. Sounds mysterious!
I see you like Val MacDiarmid. I love her. I've met her several times at conferences in England and she's a trip. Very approachable and friendly.
