Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Dr. Who, the old or the re-make?
I didn't mind the old (English guy version).
Vampires are interesting and so are the stories, and how different people tell them. Even Nora Roberts has a vampire type story. The title eludes me right now.
Good luck to you.

I need a clone too, great idea. thanks for the invite. Unlike you I'm still at foggy bottom as far as publishing goes. working on the my sequel, and an agent who is hiding from me. I don't even know if she's still alive! [or drinking with publishers]. thanks of course for the invite, unless this is a deja vu. It's 3.36 am this side and brains gone somewhere without telling me, does that often. Catch ya later or sooner then. until then-ever,
neat site you go, catman. From ancient reincarnated Egypt no doubt. Not a bad reincarnation, could have been worse, cat's are cool

Thanks for the invite. I know what you mean about editing. I get to the point where I physically cannot look at the manuscript anymore. Good luck with it though.

Thanks for the invite JK, love paranormal and SF, fantasy and horror are iffy, so always looking for a good variation. May we both have good luck with the publishing industry in 2008.

Hi! Thanks for adding me to your line-up of friends, J.K. I look forward to finding out more about you and your work (which sounds right up my alley). I hope you’ll check out my new thriller, IM, about a serial killer preying on gay men using Internet hookup sites.

It is taking a bit to know the ins and outs of this site, andI think that I may be double-posting in the friends' department. My expertise will improve with time. Now I am enjoying looking at all the authors with their published books. I am not into vampires, but I am an animal lover--dogs over cats, but I have a friend a year older than I who adores cats and is a mystery fan. Thanks for your friendship.

Yeah, Hemingway is a little hard to handle, even for some of those who like him. Actually, he was never more than a reporter, some even say a hack, and had to be edited up to fifty times before publication. Don't know if that's good or bad. But he was Hemingway and I ain't, so who am I to say. Doesn't really make any diference to me, as I never worship writers, anyway. And I'm certain I have read less fiction than any writer you'll ever know or meet. Something has to grab me awfully fast to keep my attention. I'll read something I don't care for, if the writing is good. Likewise, I won't read something I normally like, if the writing is bad or boring, which means I'll be reading more of your stuff because your style is smooth, pro...But if you want a good old mystery read with great characters, try James Lee Burke, if you haven't already. He's addictive...And--this'll surprise you--one of the best newspaper writers/reporters I've ever read, and one of the reasons I began reading more papers years ago, is Geraldo Rivera, though I don't think I'd care for him, personally(He's a whiner). Before stumbling on one, then more, of his reportings, via the wire, in the Chicago Sun-Times years ago(before he was "Geraldo Rivera"), the news seemed to me flat and boring as hell. Of course, that's how he got ahead initially, his writing talent. Now I no longer want to read well-described news stories, just the straight stuff, please. Bass akwards, I guess.

Thanks, J.K., for the invitation. I accept, but I've never really read horror, fantasy, sci-fi, or any other thing paranormal. I did read your excerpt and you're obviously a good writer. I'll plug along and maybe you can turn me into a fan, though, to be honest, I ain't never gonna appreciate that genre.
