I guess I'll have to settle for that. Maybe if I send a few lobster rolls over as inspiration?

Thanks, Jon. Look forward to many interesting exchanges. If you can put up with my bullshit sometimes.

Thanks, Jon, for the suggestion re: your book. I'll look for it. I assume I could order it via Amazon? Yes, since your family hails from Utica -you are probably more closely related to the gang than I am. Thanks for responding. Keep in touch.

er...I meant Mating "Season" ... must have been a Freudian slip.

Hi JON! Yup, it's Jon Loomis - the Mental Health / Family Therapist from Auburn, NY - proving the addage that "it takes one to know one". I had gotten home in the wee hours of the morning after enjoying a couple "Jack Daniels" and happened upon the site (having signed on in very silly fashion). This site seems VERY interesting. I'd love to read some of your work. Could you recommend something for a first time reader?

Had an agent. She was charming, marvelous, but didn't get the job done. I need someone who is as persistent in marketing as I am. currently lloking for a good agent to represent my third suspense novel.

No sweat on the late answer. If you're working it's hard to touch all bases, write, promote and have a life. Hope sales are good. My transmission still needs some help.

I got into Wodehouse by way of having a huge crush on Hugh Laurie (back when House was a detective show, not a soap opera) and watched many, many netflixed episodes of Jeeves and Wooster . . .good stuff

In light of the new Halloween movie opening this Friday, do any of your students call you "Dr. Loomis?" Just a thought from a horror movie buff.

Jon, congratulations on your success. I hope you sell a gazillion books because my transmission is acting up and I may need a loan.

you could do your own 'self-guided walking tour map' (as if there aren't enough tourist maps of Ptown floating around already)

It was indeed a great piece on NPR this morning. If you haven't already, you can expect to see some literary tourists clogging up Commercial Street as they rubberneck, trying to discern the real locations in the books from the made up ones! At least literary-minded tourists are a lot more mindful of the locals than your standard version that you skewer so well ...and they aren't likely to come in an oversized mobilehome (and if they've read your books faithfully they'll know to keep an eye out for bicyclists).

Heard your WPR spot this morning on the drive in. I thought they did a helluva nice job.
