Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

The reason many people travel in RVs is to travel with their pets. A limited number of hotels allow a small dog but not enough. So tell your husband you are NOT nuts!

Rosemary, do you still have a Jeep? I suggest checking into Scamps or Casitas. These are lightweight bare-bones travel trailers that can be towed with anything, even something small. We tow ours with a Jeep Wrangler (it's really for my m-i-l, but we use it if the motor home is in the shop or if we're going somewhere where the motor home is too large to park).

Greetings I don't think cozys are dead, we are just adding more kinds of mysteries. Mine is a paranormal crime novel - crossing genres - My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

I don't think you are morbid for wanting your sisters name with yours. I don't want anyone to forget that my sister was alive and she was a wonderful twin. I think giving tributes where they are due is the upmost respect you can give anyone... Look at the monuments given to famous people in the past... just because my twin wasn't famous, just a great sister, she deserves recognition. And so does your sister.

Rosemary,
Thanks for getting back. Novels in progress are Lieserl, a fictionalized life of Einstein's abandoned daughter, as a barometer of a woman's place/desirability/social and interpersonal significance in the 20th century. It runs 3 volumes, 1900 pages so far. And Water Burning, a story of two Islamic Americans interrogated during Katrina, their story discovered as it is happening by a young female reporter for The Times-Picayune. First draft, 441 pages so far. And you? alceillleik.

Hi Rosemary, thanks also for befriending me. I love "Let's Get Lost" and "Walk on the Wild Side" - two of my faves. I'm no longer a St. Martins author. I was with Forge and we had a bit of a falling out. Now I'm with Bleak House Books and so far I'm really happy with them.

Sounds like your dance card is pretty full. I've sketched out a tour for myself for next year and if i do everything i think I want to do, I'll be busy from january thru June. Any tips you'd like to share with a newbie? I'm a little worried that no one will show up for signings. I'm using a freelance publicist. You? BTW are you going to Thrillerfest next weekend? I'll buy you a beer..

I haven't done any library events this year. I've been busy with book signings and festivals--a couple of cons, and lots of online promotion.

Ahead I have a writing conference in Tampa (WOW) and Bouchercon in Alaska, both Sept.
