Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Hi Marcia, \i know what you're going through. I want so much to have my novel published. I have always tended to write horror/supernatural, but switched over to crime fiction only recently. I admire your courage because it does take courage! so from one wanna be to another: hi there and good luck!

Douglas,

Thanks so much for the invite. Anyone from the Carolinas has got to be special. I miss being in Greenville, SC, but it is nice to meet folks from up that way. I am headed out to Myrtle Beach this Friday.

I will check out your blog.

Hi Marcia. Reading your last post of September 9th, I want to tell you that the Joy of writing for me is the process of writing what I like to write and if someone likes it, that's a bonus. Check out my Crimespace page to see what I'm doing these days. Also, I have a blog about writing on my website of which I've had quite a few comments. Let me know what you think.

Smiles,

I am getting back into the writing mode for the first time since the death of my husband in 05. I now have the time to devote to my writing. I write murder mysteries and have one supernatural manuscript completed. You guys are such a motivation for me to continue. I love writing, but have always been afraid that I am not good enough for others to have an interest in my work. I am gaining more confidence.

I love mysteries, but I'm told by some police detectives that CSI is nice, but most jurisdictions don't have all the wherewithall of that portrayed in Las Vegas, Miami, and New York.

It is a nice area - I've been in this area for 9 years now - did a job transfer when I was working for the state and now I'm working at home for a really great company - and writing in between - but I do like the area - I'm not familiar with a lot of the things you mentioned but I'm sure I could find them if need be. - thanks for stopping by - E :)

I miss South Carolina on a daily basis! I lived right on the outskirts of Taylors/Greer where they have been building it up lately. It is amazing to go home every six months or so and see five new businesses up and running! :)

Hello,

Dallas can be great, but this heat is not my favorite thing. I am hoping some of the talented folks on this site will be having some type of get togethers in the Dallas area. Marcia
