You probably don't know me but I lurked on DL for many years (still do, mostly, even though I have 4 books out now) and always LOVED your posts. You are one funny lady. Glad I can tell you that you are remembered and I'm happy to see you here.

Hi Sparkle....I haven't seen you around in years. I think we were members of a Prodigy mystery group several years ago, like 1993 or 1994. Nice seeing you here--I still email with some of the old gang--Susan, Suzannne, Geo, Georgeann.

You have no idea! The interview went for almost a month of emails, and more than half of it went on the cutting room floor. My review partner, Delphine, met Sparkle in Paris several times, too.
Sparkle Hayter is the most witty, charming and brilliant human I have had the pleasure to meet, and that includes the two nobel prize winners I know. Sparkle's brain is more powerful than a super-computer, able to whisk together multiple divergent subject pieces into a souflé of conversational joy. She is up on tech topics, and yet is grounded enough to publically mourn the loss of a kitty cat.
If you ever get the chance to see or meet Sparkle, cancel any other engagements you have to so you can accept that opportunity.
When I moved to NYC years ago I didn't buy maps or guidebooks for navigation, but Matt Scudder and Robin Hudson novels instead... nice to see you here.
