Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Ok, I admit the drawing of you does look kind of banker-ish, which does not express the real 'you.'

But look on the bright side--it's a great picture. AND the gangsters of the 40's looked much the same--and those were scary guys! Your cred remains intact!

Re your photo: You're too funny! No question, you're brooding masterfully over an unfolding plot in your mind.

Hey, ADIRONDACK MYSTERIES! So excited! Can't wait to see it in my hands! Seriously great cover, too.

What's 'World War Z', btw? A comic book? Novel? Funny, because I'm toiling away on a sci-fi fantasy mss, working title "Z". Nothing to do with my name, looks weird so it's gotta change. Even weirder because never wrote sci fi before. That's just where the story went. Still--I'd like to check that WWZ out, if you could aim me there.

Have a great 4th with your family!

Hey, Dennis,
You still with us here?
When you might have time, please have a free read of my introductory P.I. murder mystery character novel, FOUL SHOT, here on my page in pdf. It's set down here at the beach in North Carolina and involves the killing of a famous women's pro athlete.
See if you can nail the killer before Page 300, without looking in the back.

Good to meet all the good people here on crimespace....I'm new also. My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria.

You're right about the movie, Dennis. I think one of the biggest lessons therein is the cultivation and exercise of compassion.
