Audio Books

My publisher recently asked me to record a teaser from my short stories that appear in the anthology, The EX Factor. Anyone narrate their own work before? I used some low-tech stuff (it is just a teaser, after all) and felt like the results were mixed...mostly with my own performance, I suppose.

Anyway, just curious what others' experiences have been.

Welcomed

Thanks to Christa Miller for thinking to invite me. This place looks like a great place to spend a little time. I'm looking forward to it.

My first order of business will be to jump around and check out everyone else's page, though....

Thanks, Brian. I'm pretty excited at THE WORST DOOR becoming a Derringer Finalist. It's one of my favorite stories.

I haven't read Citizen Vince yet, though I just finished Land of the Blind, which was great.

It is my hope that my stories and novels will capture the flavor of Spokane, even if I do call it River City. You'll have to let me know.

Hi Frank- congratulations on your Derringer nom. Have you read Jess Walter's CITIZEN VINCE yet? He *nailed* Spokaloo circa 1980 for me.

Thanks, Angie, for the welcome.

Bill, good to see you, too. Congratulations on LOST DOG. Email me when you get a chance, because I'd like an autographed copy.

Fleur, I am totally, utterly there! :-)

And Brian, my fellow Spokanite, things here are wonderful, banal, beautiful and fucked up...just like always.
