I'm a psychotherapist in private practice in the Fingerlakes region of Upstate / Central New York, who happened upon this site and am interested in reading the work of these authors.
The last book I read is, "Frontier Justice ...the Rise and Fall of the Loomis Gang" by E. Fuller Torrey, MD. He's a psychiatrist who grew up in Oneida County, NY state - where the Loomis Gang operated for roughly the entire 19th. century. Jon and I are at least DISTANTLY related to them. I enjoy history in general, Science Fiction, mysteries, etc.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
History Channel, Discovery, the Simpsons, "Adult Swim" cartooons (because they're so bizarre), "A Christmas Carol" (Alistair Simm version): I love stories of redemption and spiritual growth. (Also...... there's a scene in the film where Scrooge is talking to himself in front of his mirror - Christmas morning following his third ghostly visitation. You can see a guy dressed in 1950's suit and tie in the mirror watching the scene from backstage).
Hey, Jon. Thanks for the nice note(s). Hope you're well. Maybe we should start a Jon Loomis Society, or something. And if the FBI shows up here, no worries--I know right where they can find you!

Hey Jon--might as well start with the first (of two so far) in my series, HIGH SEASON. Get the MM paperback for $6.99--you could sign it to yourself, and probably no one would ever know.
The Loomis gang are very much a part of our family lore, too--if I'm remembering right, my branch of the Loomis family tree comes from around Utica, c 1880 or so. So, a reasonable chance we're very distant cousins, yes.

Alright, so I'm guessing that you and the other Jon Loomis just both happen to have the same name?
