Bettie Serveert - "De Diva"
Dutch indie rock band that channels Velvet Underground and sounded more "American" in the mid-90's than any jangly chorded rock outfit in the states. Think Yo La Tengo with more melody and edge. Minorly successful and soundtracked with their first album, "Palomine." Great plaintive talk/sing Chrissie Hynde-esque vocals by Carol van Dyk.
