What a loss. Although I turned to more hardboiled books long ago, I read all of Phyllis Whitney's books as a teen and young woman and still have them all in my book collection. Never once gave any of them away. I revisit them every now and again when I want something to lighten my mood from the tougher books I am addicted to, and to bring a touch of romantic mystery back into my life.

They are like biting into a nice, chocolate covered cherry. Not too often, but sometimes you crave that giddy rush of sweet, youthful innocence.
I agree with DADavenport. It is a great loss. Phyllis Whitney is the writer who got me hooked. I still own most of her books. I read them growing up and periodically I re-read them.
