Hi Ruby, just wanted to say thank you for the kind comments about my book Dead Men's Dust. You'll be pleased to hear (I hope) that there are a further four books planned in the series (with many more to come - I hope). Judgement and Wrath will be available in the UK from October 2009 but will not be out in the US until May 2010. Book 3 - Slash and Burn will follow in the UK May 2010.
All the best, Matt Hilton
We are enjoying 70 degree weather right now. It is great while it lasts. I am reading Dead Men's Dust by Matt Hilton. It is excellent and I hope there will be more in the series. Readers who enjoy Reacher will love Joe Hunter.
Next up to read is Beth Groundwater's new book To Hell In a Handbasket and I'm really looking forward to reading it. I also requested Hell Screen because I think it will be a very interesting book.
Thanks for befriending this mystery author! We both replied to the "Attention All Lurkers" discussion, and I checked out your page and thought we should become friends.
I am reading Glitter of Diamnds by N. J. Lindquist and enjoying it very much. Just finished Yellow Medicine by Anthony Neil Smith. Received a new CrimeSpree Magazine yesterday and read the interview with Benjamin LeRoy and scanned the book reviews. So many wonderful books to look forward to reading.
I deeply appreciate your very kind support - it goes a long way in this business. Puts rocket fuel in a writer's tank when they rise to creat new words each day.
Thank you so much,
Rick
Spring hopefully will arrive soon. I am currently reading Dark Room by Andrea Kane for bestsellersworld.com. It is a good book. Finished When One Man Dies by Dave White this week as well as The Law of Second Chances by James Sheehan. The Dave White book was for booksnbytes.com and the Sheehan book was for Armchair Interviews. I need to buy The Mayor of Lexington Avenue which was the book prior to The Law of Second Chances.
HappyRuby: Thank you so much for the very kind words on A Perfect Grave. Glad to know you enjoyred it. As you know, Deadly Pleasures named it one of the best paperbacks of 2007. And it is still in the running for an award from spinetingler magazine - the voting's been extended.
This book was tricky to write as it opens with a character you really only know in life briefly. I wanted Jason and his father, the haunted ex cop to be believable and people tell me it works for them.
Thanks again HappyRuby. I appreciate your very kind words,
Rick
Here's hoping everyone has a good holiday. I am currently rearding LadyKiller by Lawrence Light and Meredith Anthony. This is a book for review from booksnbytes.com. It took a long time getting here but I'm glad I finally received the book. Recently finished aka McGuire by Janet Entzel. Very different and a good book. We've had a lot of ice and snow so lots of time to read.
