Discovered Crais when I found LA Requiem in the drawer of a mahogany nightstand in an house in Jamaica I was renting a few years ago. Had me right there - bought everythng else. But Chasing Darkness not up to stuff. Hope he hasn't gone Hollywood like Connelly, Kellermans, etc. and how could I forget Lehane?
Have you tried Fred Vargas, or Nesbo?
Nancy: thanks for the invite! I've worked as both a prosecutor and public defender for years in Minneapolis, so am interested about the law enforcement background. I also noted you like John D. MacDonald's books--I have every Travis McGee book and love to re-read them in the winter here in Minnesota!! My wife also loves him. thanks, Colin
Thanks, Nancy. I checked out Police Pulse and will forward the URL to my friend who is an Arizona DPS officer (and a resource for related facts for my short fiction). I reading Robert Crais now (Hostage) and enjoying it a lot. Take care, Rich
Hi Nancy, thanks for the friend request. Check out my wife's two books "Lethal Leaf Peepers" and her brand new release "Sinister Snowbirds". Both are good stories anyone can read, no explicit sex, violence, gore or foul language, just good well written stories.
Hi Nancy. Thanks for the friend request. I'm so very new here! I appreciate it. I'm going to pop on over to police pulse and see what that's all about. Might send it to my f-i-l the sheriff. He'd probably enjoy it as well.
