What you must do is pick a time for your writing and stick to it. Write every single day while the kids are at school.

It is interesting, since I've been making the rounds on these social networks I keep running into my former WDS students. Small world! How're you doing with your writing?

Tempe keeps me busy!

Glad to meet another local gal--I love Binghamton and people can't figure out why because it's scum city. I guess I just have an affection for the down-and-out and fond memories of the place. Ah, the stories I could tell. . . .

A friend of mine had an apartment in Elmira--she said one of the place she looked at cost 25 bucks a month. She ran away when the landlord went to get the lease out of his office and a little while later, she heard about a series of stabbings in the same complex.

Yeah it's a part of my all around geekhood. It's from John Constantine: Hellblazer....The same John Constantine that Keanu Reeves warped in the movie.

(I only wish I had the nerve to get A tattoo...let alone something like that!)

We had a couple of nasty cases locally.

But even fictional characters can cause you head aches. Look what JK Rowling went through because of Muggles...

Read, write, and family. Those are the basics!
In response to your discussion, be careful in talking
about real people, especially those that are sue-happy.
Even if they can't win in court, they can make you miserable.

What did you prefer as far as type of law? Criminal, family ...

I liked wills and estates, and criminal. I know doesn't sound exciting but there was some definitely interesting cases.

I thoroughly enjoyed working in the legal arena. In fact, I( went to law school for a year and a half, but found I had not time for anything else..family, etc. However, the time I went to law school has served me well in writing.

Deirdre, nice to hear from you and to know we share a love for Phyllis Whitney. I, too, have kept her books and read them from time to time The writing world is much richer for Ms. Whitney's talent.
