Feast of Authors

I have been invited to participate in a moveable Feast of Authors, sponsored by Quarter Moon Books at Topsail Beach, North Carolina. I'd never heard of such a thing. There will be six authors, each at different tables, I suppose, who discuss their writing as ticket holding patrons dine and get to be close to authors. I'll autograph copies of Genesis Beach and Just North of Luck for those who want them. Quarter Moon folks will take care of the accounting during this event. We arrive early enough to dine together prior to the doors opening. Has anyone out there done anything like this? I'm really looking forward to being in the prestigious group, two of whom are coming from Duke University. Even though the event is $40, patrons get a great meal, a gift certificate to Quarter Moon and a chance to hobnob with writers from diverse backgrounds and genres. If there aren't any more of these, maybe there should be.
