Just finished Judas Child. As with several of Ms. O'Connell's other books, - The Mallory Books, - I have cried while wrapping up the final pages. She touched me where I have lived. Also, she is able to keep me mulling over, - "wait! What actually DID happen?". So, I ask to have explained to me the twist from Judas Child. Without giving too much away: Why did the dialog between Ali and the man in the basement seem to deny any reference to Ali's scar? The last pages tell us a different scenario. Same person??
