• 1929 All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque
• 1930 Cimarron by Edna Ferber
• 1931 The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck

• 1933 Anthony Adverse by Hervey Allen

Interesting list, isn't it? A past war, western, historical in an exotic place, an international colorful adventure. Can anyone tell me the bestselling mysteries during this time period?

What is your source for this list?
Publishers Weekly.
All Quiet on the Western Front is timeless. I read it again recently and was struck by its freshness, honesty, and brevity.
Yes, indeed.
I still read CIMARRON about every three or four years. It is more than just a Western. It has always touched me on several levels.

Greetrings! If you are too depressed, it means that you'll need to work hard on yourself, in order to improve your personal traits. Here is an excellent article on this topic: http://skywritingservice.com/blog/essay-on-the-great-depression
