There is something for everyone at Murder in the Grove, the annual crime fiction event in Boise Idaho. Aspiring authors can meet with editors and agents, and crime fiction fans can enjoy the great panels lined up.

The guest of honour is Robert Crais. Do I really need to say more?

Okay, well, how about Rhys Bowen? Joel Goldman? LC Hayden? Catharine Mulvaney? Sharan Newman? Joanne Pence? Still not enough to entice you? Other featured authors include Bruce Cook, Robert Fate, Mark Coggins, Vicki Delaney, Jack Getze, Ken Kuhlken... And me.

The program is already posted, and I think I'm delighted to be moderating a panel Saturday morning. At least it's the second set, so I don't have to pretend to be awake at 8:30!

If you're looking for a smaller event to attend you may just want to check this out. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Murder in the Grove, and my own experience with the organizers has been that they're wonderful. I urge every author to consider participating in a future MITG at some point.

Book one on one consults with an agent
- Ken Sherman and Katharine Sands

Book one on one consults with an editor
- Shawn E. Reilly from Hilliard and Harris (For those seeking editorial feedback on work April 30 is the deadline to submit manuscripts.)

The trip will be worth it, just to make faces at Jack during his panel...

June 8-9, Boise Idaho

Pictures will be posted...

Murder on the Grove---I'm dying to go this year. The author line-up is incredible, but my husband's b-day is that same weekend. He's had to share me too much with my writing this year. I don't think I can tell him I'd prefer to spend it with Robert Crais. I had a trip already planned with my publicist. She's a fan of RC's after I turned her onto his books, but we both backed out, very reluctantly. Thanks for the post. Go ahead--rub it in!!!
Robert Crais is one of the ones I haven't met yet. I'm looking forward to catching up with Robert Fate, Bruce Cook and Jack Getze, all great guys. I did a bookstore event with Ken Kuhlken as well - super nice guy. And I'm really looking forward to torturing the authors on my panel, as I'm moderating.

It is a bad time of year for us as well. Evil Kev and I are both June babies, and the events always seem to fall on a bad weekend for us. However, Evil Kev is very good about adjusting our celebration dates. A few years ago when Ian Rankin and Val McDermid came to town it happened to be our wedding anniversary. We shifted the anniversary so we wouldn't miss them. I'm lucky that way.
MitG was wonderful last year. Sorry I can't make it this year.
Sandra - Boise, Idaho - you're almost close enough to walk over, aren't you? See ya there. Robert Fate
I'd bring the dogsled, but the snow stops at the border, you know. ;)
well, i now know i should be all settled in my new place by then... hmm...
i've wanted to go to this for years. boise is a nice town... my brother lives there.... hmmm....

i should probably wait until next year, but i'm thinking about it....
Oh Anne, come! We'll have SO much fun!!! And I could use a scorekeeper for my panel!
Join us, Anne. Sandra's called an official meeting of The Forces of Evil.
