Hi All,

Since we're talking about Amazon a lot lately, I just came across Selena Kitt's blog. I heard about this but hadn't checked it out so now I'm sharing it here. I found it very interesting and it shows things authors should be aware of if they do decide to publish with the big A.

I think the emphasis here was on "erotic fiction" about incest. The combination is very troubling.  However, Amazon needs to let a writer know immediately that the ms. is unacceptable. Publishers are turning down all sorts of submissions, and not always because they might be offensive or pornographic. I daresay they also turn down erotic fiction about pedophilia. The thing about erotic fiction is that it is supposed to be sexually titillating. The term is preferred by its authors to pornography.

This is the crux of the question. If Amazon is consider to be the publisher, they can publish what they want. They just need to let the author know in advance the book doesn't meet their standards.

I do disagree with pulling any books back off of people's Kindles. Once it's mine, it's mine.

I think that's a good summation, Dana.
