Folks,

The shortlists were for the Crime Writers of Canada Arthur Ellis Awards (our version of the Edgars) were announced Thursday at events across the country.

Categories include best Canadian crime novel, first novel, juvenile novel, French novel, non-published novel and short story.

I'm particularly pleased to tell you that Crimespace lurker Lee Lamothe's second novel, The Finger's Twist, has been nominated for best Canadian crime novel of the year.

Winners will be announced at the CWC's annual Bloody Words conference in Toronto on May 27.
