I'm back after many years locked away. Not in prison away, something much more boring.
I remember a thread about what makes a proper Manhattan. But since I've been gone I realize that a Manhattan is really a lot of hard work, and all the young people have problems memorizing the four ingredients plus ice and equipment.
Here's how I hobble into imagined hipness now: Modified Boilermaker. Why use beer when cider is all around you? It's one or two shots of whiskey into a glass of cider.
Gluten-free, so it couldn't be more healthy for you.
And I don't drop a shot glass into the beer, either. That's also a lot of work.
