One-time medic, spent most of my working life in biomedical research, now work from home. Took up fiction writing recently. Previous published work (mostly under a different name) has been technical stuff, with some "popular science" books thrown in for good measure.
A lot of 19th century British, French and Russian classics; among modern authors I particularly enjoy Atwood, Barnes, Ishiguro and McEwan. I'm selective about crime fiction; Ruth Rendell appeals strongly because of her quality of characterisation.
Hi Mark,
Mar,
Thanks for the invite etc , Author is probably not the right word , struggling story teller with dyslexia and an attention deficit maybe a closer description. I don't know about being a critic , stones and glass houses and all that.
