Wished I could have been at Bcon! Sigh... Work is... interesting. On the one hand, it's great to have some interesting cases to work. On the other, that whole getting up in the morning thing... ;-)

Thanks for the add, Michelle. Hope you always remember to "Don't Stop Believin'."

Anyone who loves Joan Jett should be my friend.
    Do you know Shonen Knife?
  • Elaine Flinn

    Hey, Michelle!
Thanks for the invitation - and it would be a pleasure to extend the same to thee. Best of luck with your series!
  • Rhys Bowen

By the time you arrived, I was just about ready to leave and my feet were killing me. Not used to high heels any more. In fact not used to shoes of any kind! Next time we'll get to talk properly
    Have a great holiday

Hi, Michelle. Thanks for the invite!

    Michelle--
About those wall paintings that run across your website: I took pictures of the same wall paintings when I visited the Heidelberg Student Jail more than thirty years ago. It was freaky to recognize them at a glance.

I like your selection of books and TV shows, although I have trouble with "The Badge.'

Here's hoping, huh? Thanks so much for taking the time, Michelle. Merry Christmas

    Hi, Michelle,

Sorry I'm so slow getting back to you. I didn't see The Closer Christmas episode, my dvr didn't record it. I guess that's what happens when it depends on me to set it. Ha! Hopefully they'll play it again. Lately life for me has been so busy, I haven't had a lot of time to TV, but the closer is one of my favs. Hope your Christmas was great!

Hi, Just thought your photo was really cool, looks like it was taken by Gordon Ayres but as you're in the US And he's in London maybe not. And I suppose you are in the right part of the world to have a photo like that taken. Well done with your Mira contract. All the best, Alison.
  • Alison Bruce

Well immediately after I left the message I checked out your website and realised you're a glamorous brunette rather than a glamorous blonde! I love the 40's style too, hence my detective's favourite movie star is Veronica Lake. See you in the UK sometime maybe, all the best, Alison
  • Allan E. Ansorge

My pleasure indeed, I hope you had as much fun as I did. From the snowball fight in the courtyard to the pitch sessions I had a great time. By the way if you get involved next year join the Agatha Christies. Luisa Buehler and Mary Welk are snow ball fighting machines. My shoes were total (note to self bring boots next year) What did you do or enjoy about the party this year.

Forgot to ask. Can you give me the usbn for TUNNEL so i can have my local indie order it out for me.
  • Charles Kelly

Michelle. Thanks very much for the invitation. I haven't been visiting Crimespace as much as I did in the past, but having the excuse to come back reminded me what a fascinating place it is. Good luck with the Kelly Jones series. I'll be looking out for it!
  • Charles Kelly

    Hi, Michelle,
Thanks for the kind words about my first chapter. I've read several of the Hard Case Crime books and intend to get more. Bust was fantastic. I love both Ken Bruen and Jason Starr. I'm going to get Slide before long, too. If you like Hard Case Crime, you should check out some of the reprints by Stark House Press, too. Stark House puts out a bunch of the old hardboiled stuff, and the covers are excellent.
  • Allan E. Ansorge

Forgot to ask the obvious, do you have a release date for your series?

    Allan
  • Jeff Sherratt

Thanks, Michelle, for adding me to your page.

I like what Lescroart said about THE TUNNELS: "This book starts out scary and only gets worse--or, if you like frightening thrillers-- better."

That’s good enough for me. Your book is now on my must buy list…. (Can you get it for me wholesale….j/k.)

  • L.J. Sellers

    Hi Michelle
I've been enjoying your posts on the mystery lists and am anxious to read your work. You have a lot of fans!
  • Mark Ellis

    Hi, Michelle...thanks for the ad!
  • L.J. Sellers

The cover and title were great fun. I probably won't get away with anything like it again.
  • David L. Hoof

You bet. And if you stumble across anything in my checkered homepage that might help you in any way, don't hesitate to burn a few pixels to let me know.
  • David L. Hoof

I've been so deep in the nuclear pile and nonproliferation matters that I knew at least seven good reasons why Iraq didn't have any nuclear war capability before we invaded. Tried to tell my old fraternity brother, Steve Hadley, but he's an ideologue and can see little green men if dub-yah wants him too.

    Hi, Michelle

We drive through Greenwich every Saturday on our way back from a writer's workshop we teach in Warwick. It's a very pretty place.
  • JackBludis

    That's some pretty gritty stuff.
  • Doug M. Cummings

Like your new site. Fun to explore, easy to navigate, and if I win an astonishing prize, I'll promise to use it as a giveaway on my site!
  • Doug M. Cummings

I just think it would be so cool to have a great giveaway...that I didn't have to pay for, of course.
  • Doug M. Cummings

Have you tried/do you use a Kindle? I'm curious about them.
  • Michael Haskins

Michelle, Bobby called from Mystery Bookstore and talked about our signing together on July 19th. I hope you like the idea as much as I do. I will arrive in Malibu the week before, so if you are close to LA, maybe we can meet prior to the signing. More on me at my website, www.michaelhaskins.net. As soon as I know you are okay with the idea I will upgrade my website and other nings mentioning the time, 2 p.m., and you are your book. Look forward to hearing from you.

I'm just not sure about these new-fangled devices. Why, I remember the old days. Books were written on papyrus. Now there was a real book! Besides, what are we going to put on our bookshelves if everything goes electronic? Then again, I guess I'd have more room for my Pez dispenser collection... Delete Comment

Hi Michele: You are obviously an expert on digital marketing- that's the topic I've been given for my panel at Thrillerfest. I look forward to meeting you there.
  • Deborah Shlian

    I will definitely try.

Hi Michelle, Boneyard looks and sounds great, I'll be sure to buy a copy.
  • D K Gaston

It's funny you said that. I just picked up a copy of James Rollins Oracle. It's the next book I plan to read after I finish F. Paul Wilson's, The Tomb. Take care.
  • D K Gaston

Hi Michelle, just wanted you to know that I picked up a copy of Bone Yard today. Can't wait to read it. By the way, is this the beginning of a series?
  • Leian

Hey! We just got back on Sunday - had a blast, got burned (not enough sunscreen application) and I actually got to do some writing (lo and behold...). How was ThrillerFest? Were you on any panels?
  • Michelle Gagnon

Ugh, I'm so jealous!!! Thrillerfest was great. Was on two panels and had a reading with a fun group of folks at a Borders near the hotel. Still catching up on my sleep...
  • Lawrence Light

Michelle: Nice seeing you at tfest. I've read BONEYARD and really liked it. The bear with the bone was a great opening touch.

Hope to see you at Bouchercon.

    Larry
  • Lawrence Light

Michelle: You bet I'll be there. I wouldn't miss it. I've been at every one since I started being published (Chicago, 2005) and always had a great time. Hey, I even went to Alaska.
  • Beth Groundwater

    Hi Michelle,
Thanks for becoming my Crimespace buddy--as well as on all those other social networking sites we hang out on. :)
  • D K Gaston

I'm 150 pages into Boneyard so far and enjoying every page. I can learn a thing or two from you. Will you be my writing Sensei? LOL. Seriously, I'm loving it.
  • D K Gaston

Ok Michelle, you made it into my top ten favorite authors list. LOL. I have posted reviews of Bone Yard on Amazon and Shelferi.
  • Michelle Gagnon

Thanks so much, DK, you're the best! Really appreciate this, and I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the books!

Hello Michelle. Just sending a note of greetings to a fellow writer. I think I spend as much time reading about serial killers and studying them as I do writing them. take care.
  • pam

    Hello Michelle,

I guess it can turn into overload. I write fiction as well. They are usually the short stories that I submit to try keep the muse flowing and improve my writing. I enjoy the fiction as well as a good scare but the short stories challenges my creativity so it works for me. Do you write in other genres as well?
  • Timothy C. Phillips

Okay, I have to ask...Russian Supper Club performer? AndI thought my resume was interesting. I remember one particularly fated night, it was pouring rain, me and one other guy were unloading relief helicopters as they came in to New Orleans, I was telling him all the jobs I'd ever done, and out of the blue, he says, "Lemme guess, you're a writer." I just had to smile. Best wishes, Down in Dixie, Tim
  • Timothy C. Phillips

Lol. Jobs? Oh, boy. Well, I've been a bass player, bartender, Corrections Officer, piano player, pulp wood hauler, Online Editor, guitar player, Editor of Theses and Dissertations, private investigator, English tutor, shoveled sand in a furnace, AT&T Operator, made yarn in a mill, tank mechanic, and other odious manual labors too numerous and spiteful to include. You get the picture.
  • Timothy C. Phillips

    Hi Michelle! How are things?
