Thanks for the friendship, Jack. Nice to meet you!
  • Jack Getze

Nice to meet you, too, Laura. Congrats on the thrillers coming out.

Dog hair! Every time Hrothgar sees an open car door, he heads for it. Took me half an hour to get my backseat de-haired yesterday. Sheesh. Good thing doggy kisses are worth it!

I'm enjoying your world tour blog--I'm in St Louis today and your words stopped me from dashing into Left Bank Books to tell them all about my novel coming out--what?--like six months from now!. And I don't even have a chapbook to give them. I went across the street and bought an ottoman instead. You saved me. See--Crimespace is paying off already. Thanks!
  • Jack Getze

Running out to meet booksellers--that's what I should be doing today too, only I don't have any books. Awaiting shipments.
I wish I had known a few bookstore owners BEFORE my novel came out...maybe you should stop kissing Hrothgar and go buy a book, casually mention your own upcoming event?
Just an idea. I'm really wrapped up in this now and I wish I'd started earlier.
  • Christa M. Miller

Jack, great Backstory today. It really underscores the importance of never throwing anything away!! Congratulations!
  • Angie

Hi, Jack. Um...that's really all I had to say. Except congrats on the book coming out. That's always cool!
  • Jack Getze

Shy type, are we Angie? You look like you're hiding behind that...that...puppet?
  • Angie

I know you're not mocking the Skelo-writer! 'Cause, y'know, that would be bad...
  • Jack Getze

Skelo-writer? I will have to investigate.
Me? Do anything bad? My crossing-the-line days are long over. I have a granddaughter and another grand-something on the way. My kids are breeding like rats.

Jack, we'll have to raise a glass (or two) at Sleuthfest. See you there.

Jack, I'm MAD for the new photo, but I do miss the suspenders.

Answer to your question ... Tiger has a 5 stroke lead going into the final day.

Baseball was less satisfying ... procratination lives.

Hey Jack. Ok, here's the missing first line:

Did you ever wonder why they call us boobs?
  • Dennis Leppanen

Tougher than last week's tomato pie? Is that with or without the anchovies?
  • Jack Getze

Nothing but plain "tomato pie" for that Italian family. Not even cheese. Bread and tomato sauce. Me, I like pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms.
  • Jeff Markowitz

    Thanks for the invite.
