So little space. My most important influences: Dennis Lehane, Michael Connelly, George Pelecanos, Richard Price, Daniel Woodrell, Stephen King, Stewart O'Nan, James Lee Burke. Up-and-comers I recommend everyone read: Alafair Burke, Theresa Schwegel, Sean Doolittle, Steven Sidor. Here's where I have to cut myself off before I add 30 names and get out of control.

Movies And TV Shows I Like:

The Wire, Entourage, Sopranos. I'll stand by Seinfeld as the best sitcom that ever aired. The only TV I watch consistently is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As for movies, I'm obviously a film noir fan, and won't embark on that long list, just go check out the classics as a starting point. Best movie I've seen recently is The Proposition.
