New e-book editions of 13 DAYS: THE PTHAGORAS CONSPIRACY (October 2013) and STRIKE PRICE (March, 2014)from StoneThread Publishing!
13 DAYS: THE PYTHAGORAS CONSPIRACY, is also in print from Brown Books Publishing Group and STRIKE PRICE from Nemaha Ridge Publishing Company.. About 13 DAYS, drawn from my experience in the high-risk oil and gasoline business, Euro-Review says: "Author L A. Starks delivers an unstoppable thriller that put this reviewer in mind of bestselling novels of this genre over the last several decades."
3) Check out my two Amazon Shorts, now on Kindle. 2) The crucible that was San Francisco during the Vietnam War provides backstory for STRIKE PRICE character Jesse Drum in "A Time for Eating Wild Onions." 1) Even a perfect wingsuit flight among the clouds couldn't change the betrayal in "Robert and Therese Guillard: Choices."
Fiction authors: Ben Coes, Brad Taylor, Vince Flynn (RIP), Helen Grant, Herta Muller, Michael Connelly, Martin Cruz Smith, Stella Rimington, Daniel Silva, Robert Crais, Alex Berenson, Michael Crichton, and Alexander McCall Smith's Botswana series.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Not enough time, although some of the best film writing is done for television.
Thanks so much for your friendship request and for denying my claim of being ordinary :-D I can see by your website that you certainly are far from ordinary! Your book looks very intriguing
Thanks for the welcome LA. -I will be back to say more, but am in the throes of exploring a new computer, new OS and also 'speaking' IBM. I have been a Mac person all my life and decided to take the 'big leap' and am finding it a little intimidating, cant even figure how to load my picture -but soon -LOL
I think Connelly writes some of the best first pages in the business. He draws me into his stories right away. I also loved seeing him playing poker on Castle.
Hi, L. A. Thanks for welcoming me. I am not much into this social networking thingee and this is the first site I have joined, but I am loving reading all the posts.
Hello and thank you for welcoming me to this site.
I live right on Lake Huron, 4 blocks north of the Blue Water Bridge and I love to sit in the sunroom reading books on my Kindle.
i'm still struggling with that changeover from Mac to Ibm system. -Ironically, my 12 (going on 25 ) year old grandson has NO problem with this and is helping me. - I in turn am teaching him to drive and shoot. An excellent symbiotic relationship.
Thank you for the greeting. As you know I just joined the site. I have some reservations over using social media sites, as I tend to be a person who values my privacy. I simply enjoy reading books but am highly selective. I am definitely not into crime "noir". My pleasure is quirky crime stories played out in a humorous environment and well written. I joined the site so I could learn who others were enjoying reading and what aspects were particularly entertaining. Thank you. Jerry
Thanks for the invite. I found this site in my search for "The Masuda Affair" by I J Parker. It seems that the paperback edition is a mystery in itself as it seems to have vanished.
Thanks for adding me as your friend here. My schedule has been even crazier than usual lately, but I hope to get more involved with this site, and what everyone is up to.
Thanks for welcoming me into the community.... :)
I still have to find a pic. I thought as I was typing in my Bio that it must seem kind of unique or that it's not real! But it is... That's me! Lol.
Thanks for the add. I actually thought the first book by Tana French, In the Woods, was better, but I was bothered that she didn't resolve the earlier mystery of what happened to the missing children twenty years earlier.
