Thanks for the welcome LA. -I will be back to say more, but am in the throes of exploring a new computer, new OS and also 'speaking' IBM.  I have been a Mac person all my life and decided to take the 'big leap' and am finding it a little intimidating, cant even figure how to load my picture -but soon  -LOL

I think Connelly writes some of the best first pages in the business.  He draws me into his stories right away.  I also loved seeing him playing poker on Castle.

i'm still struggling with that changeover from Mac to Ibm system.  -Ironically, my 12 (going on 25 ) year old grandson has NO problem with this and is helping me. - I in turn am teaching him to drive and shoot. An excellent symbiotic relationship.

Thank you for the greeting. As you know I just joined the site. I have some reservations over using social media sites, as I tend to be a person who values my privacy. I simply enjoy reading books but am highly selective. I am definitely not into crime "noir". My pleasure is quirky crime stories played out in a humorous environment and well written. I joined the site so I could learn who others were enjoying reading and what aspects were particularly entertaining.  Thank you.  Jerry

Thanks for the invite. I found this site in my search for "The Masuda Affair" by I J Parker. It seems that the paperback edition is a mystery in itself as it seems to have vanished.

I still have to find a pic. I thought as I was typing in my Bio that it must seem kind of unique or that it's not real! But it is... That's me! Lol.

Thank you. I am still finding my way around but it has been fun so far.

  • William Wilde

Thanks for the add. I actually thought the first book by Tana French, In the Woods, was better, but I was bothered that she didn't resolve the earlier mystery of what happened to the missing children twenty years earlier.
