    Good luck with Bang Bang ... and don't worry about that two-book deal. To my mind, it gives you a degree of security and obliges the publisher to commit to your long-term success. And if the first book is a massive hit, you'll be getting so much in royalties, the (relatively) paltry advance on book two becomes an irrelevance.

    That's what I tell myself about my deal, anyway!
