The lifestyle might look idyllic, but it is actually quite physically demanding - best to view from the outside.

After leaving the above comment, I began to appreciate how you captured the stillness and aloneness of this place as you first found it...Oh, and yes, it would make a marvelous cover for mystery or horror book. Hmmm. LOL.

Ruth, this is a gorgeous shot of your new home. I so would love to adopt such a lifestyle. I hope both you and Annie can live long, beautiful lives on such a pure land.

Thanks for your comments, not sure about the great eye, though maybe that came with years in print/design - I hope I learned something along the way.

Um - this is actually where I live, this is how the place looked the first winter I got here - no water, no electricity, so reading took a back seat to the basic necessities.
