Mary,
I don't study art so I'm surprised a lot--as when I saw Vermeer's actual self-portrait done when he was middleaged. I was particularly surprised at the psychological nature of that portrait; shouldn't have been, had read The Girl with the Pearl Earring. I do look and look at portraits. Thanks for talking to me. Don't know if either of these photos will go for cover art on novel. I hope they will. I'm confused: is your novel out? Can I download it? (Daughter just got me a Kindle for my birthday.
Cheers, Clark

Will this be your dust jacket for Devil's Kitchen? I really love it when things like "dust jacket photos" and reviews and blurbs start coming together for an author's novel, don't you? How exciting to see and share your journey.

Love this pic. of you, Clark. I think, of all the photos anyone could ever show me, I love portraits best. They rank right up there with those exquisite Dutch Masters paintings (I've always wanted to have one painted of myself but, alas, those guys aren't around to do it!). Very nice. Your fine character shines through.
