Profile Information

Hometown:
Cayce, South Carolina
About Me:
A southern boy with a penchant for the darker side of writing, AJ Brown churns out stories hoping to one day find a diamond in his slush pile. Occasionally a gem surfaces, and he polishes it up and sends it out to the wolves. Oh, the wolves . . .

He is a member of Cavender’s Terrible Twelve with +The Horror Library+ and has been published in Our Shadows Speak and Dark Distortions, among others. He is the creator of the growing NiNe QuestioNs series.

He is married with 2 children and they are the joys of his life. Life enjoys him as much as he enjoys it.

Oddly enough he has been referred to as a quality creep, though he hopes in a loving way. Other things he has been referred as shall remain unmentioned.

AJ stays busy with several projects but tries to find time for everyone, though sometimes that doesn't happen.

Sometimes life throws things at you that either make you stronger or make you weaker. Then life also puts people out there who do the same things. People who have made me stronger: My wife, Catherine, Keith Hayes, my parents, Boyd Harris, Fran Friel, Dameion Becknell, Dan Malach, Jerry Wright, Don Webb, RJ Cavendar, Bailey Hunter, Erik Williams John Mantooth and John Peters. And, you, the reader, for without you, us writers have nothing, no reasons to write and no one to tell our stories to.

"Nothing is scarier to a writer than to not have an audience to read what he has written."
I Am A:

Books And Authors I Like:

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
