Dipping in...

Set up a Wordpress blog this week, still refining its look (but not obsessing).  Stop by in the future if you have a moment free.  Thanks!  Wordpress blog

A bit of sunshine came in today

Received a request for bio, synopsis, and pages. Not taking anything to the bank, but it's good to finally get a positive response (even if it is a non-NYC agency).

Cussler makes up stuff as he goes along, but people buy it. He used to be one of my guilty pleasures, but as soon as someone else started to write his books I was gone.

John D., good stuff although his sexism gets to a lot of modern readers. His attitudes were liberal for the times. He played the father protector. Modern women don't like that stuff. I've reread him recently and I see what they mean.

He wrote one of my most memorable books: "A Key to the suite." (Not a Trav novel) still remember his image of Airline "stewardesses" in it. It was something like they "came off a production line, all with blonde hair." That's not even close, but it is the image that I remember.

And oh, yeah. Welcome to crime space. Add me as a friend, I think I've already sent the request.

Hi! Welcome to CrimeSpace! I just wanted to introduce myself, and my blog, The Book Buff: Book Reviews for Regular People. Check it out at http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.com

The network can be a bit overwhelming at first, so if you have any questions at all, don't be afraid to ask!
