- I'm a recently laid off newspaper reporter who is using her down time to write fiction. I am working on my first novel-length "cozy" mystery. I hope to be finished with the first draft by April 15. Then it's on to lots and lots and lots of rewriting.

- "The Poet" by Michael Connelly: He is one of my favorite authors, and not just because he's hot or a former newspaper reporter. It's because he's that good.
I also enjoy Janet Evanovich and Elaine Viets for cozies; Stephen Kings early works (ie: his Richard Bachman days); Dean Koontz' "Dragon Tears"; and Lee Child's Jack Reacher series.
- Movies And TV Shows I Like:
- * "Ghost" is still my favorite movie. I guess I'm a romantic sap.
* "Romancing the Stone." I think it's because I want to be Joan Wilder!
* "Sixth Sense"; "Dark Knight" (wonderful portrayal of the Joker by Heath Ledger; "Gladiator"; "Shawshank Redemption" and more.
