I'm a lifelong mystery reader (starting with Nancy Drew at age 7) and enjoy reading, especially various mystery genres. I've a journalism degree and have worked in publishing most of my career.
I'm also a current-events and political junkie, having worked the past several years to promote progressive candidates and agenda. I live in a blue state.
In addition, I love live theater and productions, and enjoy yoga/Pilates, working out, seeing my friends and family, and trying to survive the economic crisis in this country -- I'm appalled by the hatred, violence and misinformation going around in right-wing arena and in the MSM.
I Am A:

James, Hannah March, Julia Spencer-Fleming, and many authors who haven't anything in the past few years.

Just hope Sandra Scoppettone hasn't lost her confidence in writing, especially the Faye Quick series -- all TWO of them. Would love to see more
Sandra's a fantastic writer, though I understand her professional and personal pressures. But she has the gift in writing mysteries. I hope she realizes that.
Heck, I often find it difficult to give the best at my day job -- or even showing up at my health club for a yoga class and workout afterwards.
Just do it, Sandra, because you're so talented. I really miss not having any new books from you, especially Faye Quick.
