Hello 2009!

Well, 2008 ended on a crappy note for me, so I'm happy for the new year and new possibilities it can bring. I will be starting a new job next month, so my writing will be taking a new turn I'm sure.

Presently, I'm still working on my series, THE LINE and the yet to be published miniseries, HYPERSONIC. Also, I've got a couple novels in the works. One is based upon a true murder back in the 1930s. More on what I've got going on soon! :)

Still writing...

Whew! I've been busy! Presently, I'm working on three independent comic book series, some pitches for big companies and my crime novel from late last year. So, LOTS going on! :)

NaNoWriMo Update

As of this posting, I am at 4,611 words. I am behind the number of words expected at this point in the month, but I am confident I will catch up soon. :)

NaNoWriMo 2007

I'm revving up for my first year participating in this event. I'll be writing a mystery (of course)! :)
I usually don't outline my stories too much, but this time I am working on a basic outline to get myself going since this is going to be a challenging month. It definitely can't hurt to have an outline all set and done. Once I start writing on November 1st, I'll post here about how things are going with it.

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Thanks for the invite, Shannon!
It's always terrific to meet another comic bookie (I owned/operated a store and did a lot of stuff in the industry, once upon a time).
Good luck with the stories and series! :)

Best,

Kelli
