The steps of releasing a Mystery Novel...I think...

My new novel is set for release in Sept and I can't wait but oh the work that goes into a release. I always knew it was a lot of work but until you actually do the work involved you really have no idea. First you have to write the novel, which I'd always heard was the easy part and I thought, 'Yeah, right.' But as it turns out the wisdom set down by those who did it before me holds true. I already read a lot but now I can read even more! In the car, while waiting in lines, or if I just have about five minutes to…

Hey Ronald, Thanks for reaching out - always nice to meet another mystery writer and especially from east bay. I rarely log onto crimespace but feel free to email me if you have any booksignings coming up or if there are any mystery-related events in the bay area - my email is lisapolisar@yahoo.com, and my website if you're interested is www.lisapolisar.com.  I'm finally getting a big block of time today (Sunday) to work on my new thriller - hope you're also having a productive writing weekend.  Take care, Lisa

Thank you for asking about the novel. I went back and fixed that up. The novel's name is Family Secrets, and I added a "Buy It!" addendum to the page listing. Here's the direct link: http://maggie-della.com/family-secrets-novel/

Thanks! I self-published on Lulu. Maybe it's the entrepreneur in me, but I like the idea of having control over the publishing cycle. And, at least according to what I've heard, you're on your own for marketing anyway.
