About Me:: I'm 40 years old, a teacher who has moved from the classroom to the outdoors to the arena of federal regulations. I'm working on a novel which is a bit of a mystery / thriller. I travel the country for this new job, and figure I'll be spending plenty of time in airports and hotels, so hopefully I'll get the darn thing finished soon!

Books And Authors I Like:: Neil Gaiman (particularly "Neverwhere," if I have to choose one). Madeliene L'Engle ("Many Waters," again if I must choose just one). Tobias Wolff (his short story collections). Ellis Peters (the Cadfael books). Peter Tremayne (the Fidelma mysteries). Jasper Fforde (Thursday Next). A Christmas Carol. Dracula. Robert Silverberg's "To Open The Sky." Harry Turtledove's "Ruled Britannia." Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time." The Harry Potter books. Roger Zelazny's "A Night in the Lonesome October." The list really is endless.

Movies And TV Shows I Like:: Movies: Beautiful Thing. To Be Or Not To Be. Spaceballs. The Goonies. Princess Bride. The Usual Suspects. The Sixth Sense. Superman I and II. The Harry Potter movies. Mysterious Skin. Big Eden.

Happy New Year! And btw, I didn't say online? But on the 29th, I toasted Karen's birthday. I think of her often, and have a character named Wren who looks remarkably like her minus the glasses. :).
