Wow. Your website was fascinating to me for a couple of reasons. First, your book, "Why We Ride"--I'm trying to take up riding somewhat late in life. I have MS and was just introduced to riding and loved it. Here in Texas you'd think everybody rides, but of course, not so. So I'm trying to find riding lessons.

Then, your background. I'm writing a legal thriller, so your personal background is very interesting to me. Would you allow me to contact you as a resource from time to time?

Third, the range of books on your site. I am writing a novel, but I have considered also writing a biography about my past and current life situation. My husband and I are now renovating a house for permanently moving my parents in with us. Temporarily, we are all renting together. The past 15 years, they lived next door to us after I was diagnosed with MS and had to retire from practicing law. Anyway, off and on, I've contemplated writing about my life and the interesting lessons I've learned and am learning from having MS, cancer, a husband with chronic depression, and living with my parents!

Of course, fiction gives me a place for my imagination to escape!

Kindest Regards,
Anne

Suspenseful neo noir based on a long-forgotten Steely Dan song?
Why not?

And I now know where Shingle Springs is ... I once owned a small tavern in Shingletown, a bit farther north of your place.
And the novel you rejected went on to being published in the UK. Too bad, so sad.
However now that we're friends, it's okay.
Time for a walk on the beach.
