What do you think?

We had just reached the area in the mine where the last crew had been when we heard it-one loud BOOM. Resonating in the distance, it sounded like it was far away, but the vibrations radiated from

within and created movement all around us.

“They did it!” Gaspar murmured.

“Did what Gaspar?” Beni asked,…

A poem-for writers

Finally! It’s coming.
Soaring around my brain,
Coursing through my veins;
begging, pressing, screaming to be released.…

Back in the swing!

So.... after a brief hiatus due to family tragedy I am back to writing. I am more determined then ever to complete my debut, and have been getting some great comments about what I have so far.

My challenge now is getting to the meat of the story. I desperately want some action, but it is turning our to be more mental than physical. So far, brain power is the best way to go. Maybe a little kung fu for the screenplay...

Hi LaTanya,
Sorry I haven't been in touch for so long. I just got overwhelmed with the daily job of caring for my little granddaughter and had some health issues. I'm fine now. Hope things are going well with you and that your writing is coming along better than mine! I'm stalled!

Good writing. And the theme of your book and character are hot.
When you finish go over to agentquery.com and find some agent to query.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

I have a friend moving to Whiteville this summer. I will be visiting her this fall when I head to Myrtle Beach -- my home away from home. Keep the greens (I hope they're collards) warm.

Welcome LaTonya. Is it my eyes or is that some good southern cooking on that table? Now I've got to go look at a map and see where Chadbourn is. Later, Lynette
