Why did the writer miss her deadline? It was foggy out

This morning I pressed SEND on my first draft for MAKEOVERS CAN BE MURDER. The manuscript should now be safely in the hands of my editor in NY. Ahh...sweet sigh relief. Deadlines remind me of the many ways we writers love to procrastinate.
