I'd like to put the focus on chapters for a moment. You can belong to Sisters in Crime without joining a chapter--but if you don't belong to a chapter, you could be missing some of the most rewarding benefits and opportunities that SinC can offer.

Sisters in Crime has been doing book events all over the country for as many years as I can remember. I think I remember booking a booth in 1992 for Sisters in Crime at the Miami Book Fair. Since then we’ve always had a presence at Malice Domestic, Bouchercon and the American Library Association Conference. When Edison first invented his phonograph, there were articles in various periodicals that the book public libraries would be a thing of the past.
Books and libraries are still with us, though now the printed word is available in electronic form and in audio books on tape, CD and MP3...and who knows what devices in the future.
