My last post was full of optimism but alas writing nirvana was not mine in November. I wrote only 10,000 words and then my Dad suddenly became ill, went into hospital, almost died then was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer. That put a a serious dent in my creative side not to mention my very core. Things have settled down, my Dad is as well as he can be and I can now think of writing again. I have signed up for my first ever Writers Conference (Whidbey Island) and I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately I don't think I will get as much out of my 'agent meet' as I would have hoped but I am sure it will still be useful. January optimism! Life goes on and hopefully in my characters too. Happy New Year.
