I started a thread about this a while back, but I thought I would babble about it here.

Goddamn, what a TV show! See, this is what I love about England. They did two series (16 episodes total), ending it before the story ran out of steam. You know when the American version hits the airwaves, they're gonna milk it for as long as possible, dragging it out like a Stephen King storyline.

My only criticisms with the show were in the second series. A lot of the whodunits in those episodes seemed kinda predictable (I love when a show or story has the perp or murderer being a complete surprise to me). And I didn't dig the finale too much. It was so vague, I had to go to Wikipedia to find out what the writer and producers were trying to say.

Still, I'm glad I spent 50-plus bucks to buy the two series from Amazon UK. And the show turned me on to David Bowie's "Life on Mars" -- so much that I had to download it from iTunes. Good times. . . .
