On Monday, my third book, the second in the Nolan, Hart and Tain series - THE FRAILTY OF FLESH - goes on sale. Well, to be technical, if you pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble it's being shipped as we speak (according to my mother).

I would expect the odd review to be popping up about FRAILTY, but it's interesting to see that reviews continue to appear for WHAT BURNS WITHIN. The latest sums up with:

"What Burns Within is a vividly told story with a propulsive forward motion and a very distinctive addition to the procedural wing of contemporary crime fiction. There turns out to be an advantage in my having been slow to get it to the top of my reading pile--now I don't have to wait impatiently for the publication date of The Frailty of Flesh, the second Hart/Nolan/Tain book." - Glenn Harper, International Noir Fiction

As for FRAILTY, Charlie Stella offers a tiny teaser. "(Tain) has ghosts the murdered child case brings to the surface and when it all comes together at the end … well, no spoilers here, but the novel leaves off with yet another hook to what will become the next highly anticipated installment to the series."

I've also been interviewed by Patrick Shawn Bagley.

And, in the news category, this appeared in Publishers Marketplace this week:

Deal News: Lullaby For The Nameless

Mystery/Crime - Sandra Ruttan’s, LULLABY FOR THE NAMELESS, set in the Greater Vancouver Area, in which a murder victim forces three constables to face their past mistakes, to Don D’Auria at Dorchester, in a nice deal, by Allan Guthrie of Jenny Brown Associates (world English).

I expect the next few weeks to be busy with the usual round of release-promo stuff, but I'll keep the blog updated with the latest developments. Next week I'll be guest blogging at Fresh Fiction, and doing a special feature for Dorchester.

PLUS: Check out my blog for recent posts and photos from Bouchercon.
