Just returned from a book tour through Florida and Sleuthfest in Miami. Sleuthfest was the bomb! Linda Fairstein, a friend from her days at the NYC District Attorney's Office, was great as always! Renee Balcer of Law and Order Criminal Intent was charming! We saw lots of fellow authors, old friends and new. John and Joanne of the Murder on the Beach Bookstore were just great. We sat on panels, signed books, caroused in South Beach with our terrific publishers and drank at the hotel bar every night! What could be better?

Good morning, Meredith, for it is 11.28 a.m. here in England. I'm currently working out how to find the people who have planted a dirty bomb in the centre of London. I've gone to the absolute limit of my warped imagination to disguise their identity and whereabouts, but now I must find loopholes in my work in order for my man to bring them to justice. I'm relatively new to the genre and I find crime writing to be a most strange occupation. Ah well, back to work.

ANYONE named Elke is bound to be something. It's a law!

That Elke was some bartender, huh? Or maybe you only caught the night shift...
