CERULEAN SINS – G

Hamilton, Laurell K. – 11th in Series

While “Cerulean Sins” was considerably better than "Narcissus in Chains," it's still not up to the standards of her earlier books. Way too much angst, focus on men's hair, sex--enough of the ardeur already--and vampire politics. I was pleased to see a bit more of the wry humor I loved, time given to Anita's real job and old relationships with Dolph and Zerbrowski, and even the stuffed penguins made an appearance. I do think this series needs to be read in order. I haven’t given up on it, but am hoping this is the start of a return to the things I loved about this series.
