The Fort Clifton Festival was the usual fun, and a good chance to sign a few books. Plus, it took place on an almost perfect weekend to spend outdoors. I say almost because Saturday we had to pack up a little early due to a sudden fierce rainstorm. We had just about enough warning to keep ourselves and the books from getting soaked. Sunday on the other hand was the kind of sunny, mid-seventies day you dream about. We had live music both days and I got to chat with the re-enactors, not all of whom were in Civil War garb. My favorite was the guy in the Spanish Conquistador armor. We also wandered among the 100 vendors and started our Christmas shopping.
