Lt. Eve Dallas and Det. Delia Peabody have determined that a killing at the Wilfred B. Icove Center for Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery was self-defense. But before they leave the Center, Icove's son has found his father has been murdered. The investigation raises questions to Eve as to what Dr. Icove was doing with all his spare time. Unfortunately, the son can't help as he has now been murdered in the exact same way. Eve soon suspect something more is going on than cosmetic surgery.

I freely admit I love this series. There are wonderful relationships, humor, great dialogue, a well-done sense of time and place, a bit of passion and excellent suspense. I also feel her books are becoming less romantic suspense and more mystery. It's still there, but this had shades of Robin Cook or Tess Gerritsen. For me, it was a very good read.
