The reviews came out Monday; Wednesday brought an inquiry about film/TV rights. I have no idea where that will go (I referred it to my agent) but I have to think the review created interest from that quarter. Would anyone in the industry have heard of my book without the review? Probably not.

The Tudors sell. (Better than the Japanese anyway). Good luck!

I can almost afford Hershey's kisses now, and I'm only three books into this rich-and-famous thing.
I.J., it's a Tudor mystery with Elizabeth as one of the sleuths (and one editor sneered at me because the Tudors "have been done.")

Great news. Good luck with the movie/TV people.

Prominent reviews--or the lack thereof--can make or break you, especially for a debut. I owe what little career I'm having to print reviews (and a certain amount of NPR).
